Mike, Natasha and their team were awesome - they were super welcoming, really skilled and showed lots of control based on various skill levels and sizes. Great team, and such awesome people! Highly recommend The Sound if you want to learn jiujitsu or just get a roll in on Open Mat!

I love this gym! Great for all levels, from the professional athlete to working with kids.The coaches are professional, knowledgable and encourage you to do your best. The classes are unique to each coach, they are challenging but the expertise of these coaches are world class and set you up for success. I hight recommend this gym.

Amazing team at The Sound!! So grateful to have this -one of a kind- martial arts studio in Squamish BC! I always leave feeling stronger mentally and physically, and enjoy the people I’ve met through this space immensely :)

My children have be training at the Sound for over a year. The coaching is strong and the kids are held to a level that they can meet, yet challenges them to push themselves. It’s helped build more confidence in all of my children. The sense of community in the gym is strong, as is as how the gym embraces and supports the local community.

Stopped by The Sound for a drop in session with some friends, and we all had an absolute blast! Being a beginner, it makes me nervous to roll with people I don’t know, but I had nothing but a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and offered their advice and help while we rolled. Would love to come back again when I’m in area! The atmosphere is also so beautiful with the open doors at the back of the gym!

My kids love this place. All of the coaches are great with the little ones. Their programs are great and all of the students were welcoming to both of my children when they first joined. I’d highly recommend Sound if you’re considering enrolling.

Great club with a great atmosphere and energy! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, not just for your first class, but every class. If you are new to the area like I was, the best thing you can do is get in for a trial week to see how you enjoy it - my bet is you will love it! Also - excellent regular seminars and great rolls to boot.

I came to the sound 3 years ago and felt completely at home from day one. The head coach/owner was friendly, welcoming and cared about my progress. He does not just promote student growth at the gym but personal growth outside the sound as well. Kasey personally invests in his fighters and students by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices that improve martial arts skills but more importantly, life skills. Over the recent months he seems most proud of his “right to play” program, youth classes as well working with the Squamish Nation. The Sound is a landmark of Squamish and Kasey put the town on the map when he trained his brother (Cole) to the UFC.The Sound is a perfect fit for anyone looking to learn a new skill or become a professional fighter
